I realize it’s been a while since I’ve blogged and I’m sorry about that. Anyway, I’ve started a few stories, but then end up walking away and forgetting about them. So anyway, lots of news to share, well not lots of news just one major event but lots of stories.
I brought home my little puppy home a few weeks ago!! His name is Gabe and he is so darn cute!!!! He is so much fun to play with! He is a puppy, so of course he is still trying to figure out where to go potty. Although I keep trying to tell him “on the grass Gabe! on the grass!” He’ll get it eventually right? On the first day I brought him home, he had not been outside before so the grass was foreign to him. When I plopped him down he was kinda like “what the heck is this? & why am I so short?” He wasn’t quite sure what do with it, but eventually went potty. Later that day we went out again to go potty and the sprinklers were had just been on. He was not fond of the wet grass and decided to put both his front and back paws on the cement with his butt hanging over to make sure the poo went on the grass. It was such a cite and so funny!!!! He is contantly making me laugh. He likes to follow me everywhere I go, so it’s nice to have him around, although sometimes he does get a little to close!
We still haven’t mastered the potty training bit, but hopefully we will soon. Another issue is he is “teething” so is biting everthing, including me!! It didn’t hurt at first but now it does more and more. I try putting one of his toys in his mouth; like his purple elephant that I’ve nicknamed Ellie, or a raw hide chew or rope, but he only plays with them for a bit before thinking my toes look tastier. We've gotten into a few little tiffs about the biting situation, but today he is doing good. I think he knows that he is not supposed to bite my feet or hands but he keeps trying. Hopefuly this "stage" will be over soon. If you have any ideas on how to curb the biting or get him house trained, I'm all ears.
Beckie
xoxo
