That's right, our lovely little lady Josephine Marie Jackson left her mommy's tummy and came to show her BEAUtiful face yesterday evening. She was born at 7:36pm (CA time) 7lbs. 12oz. 19 inches long. Heather endured a pretty tough labor but is doing just fine. Baby Jo hasn't quite mastered a little thing we call breathing, BUT is doing fine. She turned a little shade of blue while crying so was rushed to NICU about an hour after birth. She has been there ever since and should be coming home on Saturday. She is doing much better today and the nurses are just watching her oxygen level making sure she can handle breathing and eating. Not to worry though apparently this happens to some babies. Plus mommy Heather has a slight case of asthma so this just may be a part of that. (That is my thought, it is not medically founded). I believe Heather is getting discharged from the hospital today. So, yes she has to leave the baby, which is sad, but it's better to have Jo at the hospital for now. I posted one pic, and will post more later, but I don't have any because Grandpa & Grandma are a bit slow in the technology department. (sorry mom & dad)
Please keep baby Jo in your thoughts and prayers, and this new family when they take her home.
xoxo
Beckie
